Civil Litigation Legal Assistant

A large firm with offices in downtown Montreal is currently looking for a legal assistant to join its civil litigation practice group.
Role and Responsibilities of the Position:
Daily assistance to lawyers;
Agenda management, and compliance with deadlines;
Email management;
Transcription, drafting, revision and finalization of various legal documents and procedures;
Management of legal deadlines and procedures;
Maintenance and filing of documents according to the Court's procedures;
Telephone communications with customers;
Management of the client database in Interaction, as required;
Opening of files;
Invoicing (experience with ebilling, an asset);
Application of internal procedures.
Education and experience required:
Diploma of Secondary Vocational Studies (DVS) or Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Office Automation, with a legal specialization;
5 years of experience in legal secretarial work in litigation;
Proficiency in Word and very good knowledge of the MsOffice suite;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and French;
Attention to detail;
Excellent organizational skills and speed of execution;
Excellent initiative, resourcefulness and sense of responsibility;
Reliability, professionalism, punctuality, team spirit, discretion;
Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously, work urgently and prioritize tasks;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Availability to work overtime, when required.
Job Benefits:
Hybrid mode, 3 days in the office.
Vacation weeks/year: 3 weeks to 5 weeks, depending on experience.
Paid overtime.
Participation in an RRSP after 1 year, a 4% pension plan that increases to 4.5% after 5 years, 5% after 10 years and 5.5% after 15 years. The employer contributes even if the employee does not contribute.
Group insurance paid at 100% from day 1 for dental and prescription drugs and after 3 months for disability.
Gym or sport paid at 80% up to $650 per year.
