Mechanical Automation Design Engineer
Linear Transfer Automation
Mechanical automation design and FEA define this engineering position, combining SolidWorks, Ansys, Inventor, and detailed equipment development.
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer works independently or with professional designers. The work covers complex automation equipment, component sizing, pneumatic circuits, simulations, and client-facing design communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Design large, technically complex automation equipment
Perform FEA using Ansys and Inventor
Size actuators, motors, and servos
Design pneumatic circuits and calculations
Coordinate designers, contractors, clients, and suppliers
Requirements:
Bachelor's engineering degree or equivalent experience
Proficiency with Microsoft products, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Ansys, and Inventor
Ability to perform FEA and size components
Strong organizational and communication skills
Automation experience preferred
