Pet Valu needs a Class 1 Driver in Surrey to deliver goods safely across British Columbia on variable part-time routes.
Reporting to the Transportation Manager, this driver supports assigned store deliveries for Pet Valu and its retail operations. You will prepare vehicles, confirm route information, secure loads, and complete deliveries using drop pallet, hand bomb, or dock-to-dock methods. The position also includes shipment verification, returns handling, truck cleaning, and defect reporting. Schedule changes and route flexibility are essential because shifts depend on operational needs and employee availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate start times, routes, addresses, and next-day details
Verify load security, paperwork, keys, and store information
Use pylons, wheel chocks, and required safety protocols
Complete store deliveries and investigate damaged goods
Handle returns and maintain organized warehouse documentation
Requirements:
Valid AZ/DZ license and clean driving record
Experience operating commercial vehicles and delivery equipment
Strong safety inspection knowledge and compliance practices
Ability to adapt independently to schedule and route changes
Strong communication and time management skills
Bring Class 1 driving, route coordination, equipment handling, and shipment accuracy to Pet Valu’s Surrey transportation operations.
