Flow Assurance Principal Chemist

Bring flow assurance and production chemicals expertise to a Principal Chemist position in Calgary, focused on analytical laboratory services.
The Production Chemical Technologies group needs a Principal Chemist for Flow Assurance and Analytical Services Technology. ChampionX employment will transition to SLB as part of the planned integration. This on-site laboratory role supports hydrocarbon analysis, method development, instrumentation, and technical communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply laboratory techniques and testing methodologies to hydrocarbon samples
Support development of new analytical laboratory methods
Maintain and troubleshoot gas chromatography instrumentation
Interpret analytical results for technical and non-technical staff
Collaborate on experiments, projects, and data analysis
Requirements:
Relevant degree and industry experience meeting stated qualification pathways
Strong gas chromatography knowledge, including method development
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining gas chromatography instruments
Proven project management and organizational abilities
Oilfield production chemicals or flow assurance experience preferred
