Architectural Glazing Estimator

Architectural glazing estimating demands Bluebeam Revu expertise and precise cost analysis. At OBE, this role supports projects involving complex building envelopes.
As an Estimator, you will independently analyze architectural plans and specifications for aluminum systems. You will estimate curtainwalls, storefronts, skylights, and specialty entrance systems. The work supports product selections meeting thermal, structural, and aesthetic requirements while developing solutions favorable to OBE product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform digital quantity take-offs for aluminum and related hardware
Develop bills of materials for complex glazing projects
Review Division 08 architectural specifications for system compliance
Calculate materials, manufacturing labor, and component costs
Prepare bids and quotations for glazing and general contractors
Requirements:
Minimum two years estimating commercial glazing or architectural metal experience
Advanced architectural blueprint and technical shop drawing interpretation
Bluebeam Revu proficiency and strong Microsoft Excel skills
Understanding of curtainwalls, storefronts, and glass performance data
Clear technical communication with customers and production teams
Apply architectural estimating, Bluebeam Revu, and glazing systems knowledge to detailed OBE project bids and quotations.
