Keep dishes and kitchen areas sanitary as a Part-Time Dishwasher at SFU Dining Services in Burnaby, working on-site with industrial equipment.
This Facility Services position supports cleanliness across SFU Dining Services. You will sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils while maintaining orderly kitchen areas. The work includes polishing silver, cleaning food preparation surfaces, and handling supplies and waste.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils
Polish silver using assigned machines, chemicals, and hand cloths
Maintain sanitary dish and kitchen areas
Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and prep surfaces
Remove trash and transfer supplies between work areas
Requirements:
Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
Previous dishwashing experience preferred, but not required
Industrial washing machine experience preferred
Ability to work well under pressure
Physical ability to carry out position duties
Support SFU Dining Services with dish sanitation, kitchen cleanliness, silver polishing, and dependable on-site work in Burnaby.
